Outreach Council

The Social Responsibility Board Coordinates all social responsibility activities for the following committees:

Social Justice: Facilitates member hands-on involvement through useful contributions in our larger community such as preparing and serving dinner the third Sunday of each month at reStart homeless center.

Racial Justice: Assists All Souls in becoming aware of racism, addresses and takes steps to dismantle institutional and personal racism, and is a beacon for racial justice and interracial harmony in the greater metropolitan area.Organizes community service projects with Ward Chapel AME Church.

Interweave: is a membership organization affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association. It is dedicated to the spiritual, political, and social well-being of Unitarian Universalists who are confronting oppression as lesbians, gay men, bisexual persons, transgender persons, and heterosexual allies. It celebrates the culture and lives of its members.

Westport Cooperative Services: All Souls works with 16 Midtown churches to support, encourage and develop cooperative solutions to the Westport/Midtown area community needs, e.g. Back to School program and Meals on Wheels.

Harmony House/Habitat for Humanity: Coordinates work days in which volunteers from All Souls join with those from other organizations to build homes for low income families.

Green Sanctuary: The mission of the Green Sanctuary Committee is to educate and encourage action demonstrating our seventh principle, "Respect for the interdependent web of all existence, of which we are a part." 

UU Service Committee: Works with our national organization to promote justice globally.

UU United Nations Organization: Committee promotes understanding of the United Nations by educating and mobilizing support for a world community.
