Racial Justice
All Souls is proud to have been chosen as a pilot site for a new diversity building curriculum entitled "Building the World We Dream About." Study groups around this curriculum will be launched in the fall. Due to the popularity of our "Afraid of the Dark" reading groups, sponsored in collaberation with the Urban League of Kansas City - new groups will be formed soon.
Currently, a Diversity Task Force (part of the Racial Justice committee) is studying how we can become more integrated as a congregation. This process involves scrutinizing our own hospitality and hiring practices.
For nearly a decade the Racial Justice committee has worked with Ward Chaple AME church to support their soup kitchen. This cooking and serving project takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
